This original collage by paper artist Denise Fiedler depicts a foxglove stem on a rectangular handmade paper. A favourite flower in an English country garden, the foxglove was named in Old English "foxes glofe" for its bell-shaped flowers; it was said to be worn by a fox to silence its movements on the hunt.
