Made in Thuringia Germany, this ornament’s maker is a family-run manufacture operating in the Christmas trade since 1900 and thus still using original Victorian moulds from its early history. While some of our other nostalgic ornaments are purposefully quite crudely painted to replicate the antique look - This craftsperson has a particular dainty style, making smaller ornaments, which we have selected for their very genteel and delicate faces, maybe the touch of a woman painter ?
